Velux Electrics is a Melbourne-based electrical company specialising in Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program installations — heat pump hot water systems, reverse cycle air conditioning, and induction cooktop upgrades.
We work with Victorian homeowners, renters, and small businesses who want to reduce their energy costs, eliminate gas dependency, and access government rebates — without navigating the complexity themselves.
Our Team:
Every installation is carried out by our own A-Grade licensed electricians — not subcontractors, not apprentices working unsupervised, not a third party we don't control. Our team is trained in VEU compliance requirements and holds current licensing under Energy Safe Victoria.
Our Accreditation:
We are a registered Accredited Provider under the Victorian Energy Upgrades program, regulated by the Essential Services Commission. This means we are authorised to generate Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs) on your behalf and apply the rebate as an upfront discount — you don't deal with the government, the paperwork, or the program. We do.
Our Focus:
VEU installations are not a side service for us. Heat pump hot water, reverse cycle air conditioning, and induction cooktop upgrades are what we specialise in. We know the program, the eligible products, the compliance requirements, and the rebate stacking strategies — because this is what we do every day.
Four Things We Don't Compromise On.
Licensed or Not at All
All electrical work performed by Velux Electrics is completed by A-Grade licensed electricians under Energy Safe Victoria regulations. This is non-negotiable. If the job requires a licence, a licensed electrician does the work. Full stop.
Compliance First
Every installation is completed to the requirements of AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules, the Electricity Safety Act, and the VEU program's technical specifications. We don't cut corners to hit price points.
Honest Advice
We'll tell you what you qualify for — not what sounds best on a sales call. If a system isn't right for your home, or if a rebate claim won't hold up to compliance review, we'll tell you before we start, not after we've been paid.
After the Job
Your system is going to run for 10 to 15 years. Our relationship with you doesn't end at installation. If your unit needs attention under warranty, if a compliance question arises, or if you have questions about your system's performance — we're still here.
